EWA to host bird count at conservation area

The Edison Wetlands Association will host a public birdwatching event in the Dismal Swamp ConservationArea on Feb. 18 as part of the annual Great Backyard Bird Count. This free event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Triple C Ranch, 206 Tyler Road, Edison. Anyone from beginning birdwatchers to experts are welcome to participate, but they must register prior to the event by calling David Wheeler at (732) 287-5111 or e-mailing ewainfo@ edisonwetlands.org. Birders are encouraged to wear warm clothing and hiking boots, and bring binoculars, a camera, a pen and notepad.
