Used cell phones can benefit soldiers Cell Phones for Soldiers and Edison Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3117 and its ladies auxiliary are kicking off a cell phone collection drive. Donated cell phones are sold to a company that recycles them. The money received from recycling the cell phones is used to purchase calling cards that will be sent to troops serving overseas, to enable them to keep in touch with their family members at home.
